Phill Lewis was born on September 4, 1968, in New York City, New York. He is the son of a German mother and an African-American father. The show was created by and starred the Wayans family, and Lewis's character was a witty and sarcastic friend of the main characters. The show was a hit and ran for five seasons, making Lewis a household name.
After 'The Wayans Bros.' ended, Lewis continued to act in various TV shows and movies. He also directed several episodes of popular TV shows, including 'Friends', 'The Suite Life of Zack and Cody', and 'The Thundermans'. Lewis has also lent his voice to several animated TV shows and movies, including 'Kim Possible' and 'The Penguins of Madagascar'.
